In conducting the risk assessment, the person on whom the statutory duty falls is required to have access to competent help regarding the risks of exposure to Legionella in the water systems present in the premises and the necessary Legionella control measures. Legionella bacteria and the likelihood of the hazard being present is based on the nature of the water supply used. The exposure is based on the potential for a system to promote the multiplication of Legionella bacteria and produce an aerosol in the vicinity of site or off-site susceptible personnel. Recommended precautionary measures to reduce the overall risk including management responsibilities and paperwork systems. An L8 water solutions representative will always be available to answer questions and give advice when and where required including site visits.

Legionella Risk Assessments - A detailed report of the entire systems within the premises, setting out any areas of risk, and recommendations to reduce or remove the risks, schematic drawings of the water systems and photographs of all areas of risk (i.e. Water storage tanks).
Inspection & Monitoring - Check systems and plant for performance, cleanliness, contamination and damage. Monitor temperatures to ensure that the required standard of control is reached within the code of practice guidelines. Report any anomalies that may be detected with corrective works where required. Audit and amend the existing site records.
